For those looking for a timely book to read this month, I strongly recommend that you purchase a copy of A Torchlight for America by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. This book was published in 1993 but the guidance is greatly needed right now by all of humanity. Yet it has been overlooked.
As to why he wrote the book, Minister Farrakhan responded to a question posed by Brother Jabril Muhammad on July 15, 2006 found in his book Closing the Gap on page 389. Here is an excerpt:
Brother Jabril: Brother Minister, about thirteen years ago, you wrote and published A Torchlight for America. Why did you write it?
With the present state of the economy and the on-going debate over the health-care crisis, Minister Farrakhan outlines solutions in Chapter Five (Rebuilding the Economy) and Chapter Seven (Ending the Health-Care Crisis).
“We would like to offer the words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, with ourselves as an example of what those words can produce, as a “torchlight†for America”, says Minister Farrakhan in the book’s preface. “I hope that you receive this torchlight with open ears and an open heart, with the aim of discovering those truths that can lay the base for developing honest remedies for the condition of America.”
