Since January 2009, myself and Hannibal Muhammad have been conducting weekly seminars on Sundays at the Cheyenne Rehabilitation Center in Northeast Houston. We have covered a range of topics with these men who are overcoming drug and alcohol addictions.
Our talks have been centered around overcoming one impediment to success: Mediocrity. We do these seminars for free and it has been rewarding to receive emails from men who have successfully completed the rehab programs and have gone on to gain back control of their lives. One person launched a business and website based upon just hearing us speak two times! Others are getting involved in their communities, maintaining good jobs and as the saying goes ‘taking it one day at a time’.
How are you being of service to someone else?
