On Feb. 17, I had the blessed opportunity to speak to members of the Black Student Union at St. Thomas University. I was invited by the organization’s president Shandelyn Carper. The short ,yet fun presentation, was for the purpose of addressing things such as balancing school and extracurricular activities, their roles as young leaders, unleashing talents, the Obama effect, and the responsibility of us all to build up our own communities.
