You have already heard the saying “Nobody plans to fail, but just fails to plan”. But has it just become a cliche or is it real to you?
There are some people who have shelves full of notebooks, old to-do lists, and daily planners with ideas or visions they once had for themselves. The greatest plans in the world are useless unless carried out properly. What happened to those plans?
Napoleon Hill was quoted as saying that “The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.”
Sometimes things don’t go as planned but you will never know if you don’t work the plan. Now that we are at the mid-point of 2009, let’s see have you stuck to your P.L.A.N.
PURPOSE: Do you even remember why you wanted to achieve that particular goal this year? If you have found yourself not meeting the mark, maybe your “why” wasn’t big enough. Purpose feeds the plan.
LANGUAGE: What has been your verbal and non-verbal language? Have you been enthusiastic about your plans over these last six months? The words you speak, can impact the course of your feet. Speak the language of success, focus and execution. You are the best…act accordingly.
ACTIONS: There is no substitute for hard work and talking about what you are GOING to do will not get the job done. How much time every day have you put towards your goals? At the end of the day, how many times have you looked back and assessed that you did absolutely nothing towards your goals? These are critical answers. Be honest.
NICHE: Yes, there are people who can do what you do. But there is no one who can do it LIKE you do it. Don’t forget your uniqueness and lose your authenticity. Get back to what you do best.
Six months left in 2009….it’s not how you start, but how you finish. FINISH STRONG! YOUR ARE THE BEST!
