black men
What should Black men do when they are pulled over by the police and fear for their life?
Minister Farrakhan responded to this question during his recent appearance on Muhammad and Friends. Watch the entire clip!
The Final Call Newspaper Chronicles: “It costs you nothing to give a word of encouragement.”
One of the many people we were blessed to encounter while pushing The Final Call Newspaper (www.FinalCall.com). This brother and I talked for nearly 15mins on the burning desire within Black men to find Purpose vs walking aimlessly through life. I shared jewels from The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and this brother said, “Thank you for the much needed talk full of hope; I need all that I can get right about now.”…he inspired me more than he knows. It costs you nothing to give a word of encouragement but it could mean everything to someone in that moment.

There is another lie said about Minister Louis Farrakhan, in regards to the 10,000 Fearless he called for.
Ignorant people claim that his call for 10,000 fearless was a battle war cry to kill all white people. Despite The Minister’s explanation of what it actually is, there are still those who refuse to understand. Seriously, have any of these people heard themselves and realized how ridiculous their accusations sound?
“Farrakhan wants The 10,000 Fearless to kill all white people!”
Ok first of all, how? There are about 19.7 million white people in America alone. Each 10,000 Fearless member would have to murder about 1,970 white people. They have to go on a hunting spree and kill that many people each?
Secondly, by what method will this killing take place, if the Nation Of Islam doesn’t believe in carrying any weapons? How will 19.7 million white people die off without being struck by any weapons? 10,000 people are just going to start knocking on doors and murder white people with their bare hands? This sounds like a fictional book, not reality.

Lastly, if Minister Farrakhan is the Commander in Chief in this army, why would he tell his strategy on live broadcast? If that were a true declare of war on white people, why would he ever give them the entire game plan to fight against? That would make him the worst Commander ever. You never tell your enemy where exactly you’ll be, how you’ll come, what methods you’ll use, none of that.
“He said kill those who kill us! That means white people!”
No, it just means fight with those who aggress against us first. He explained the law of retaliation , which is backed up in both Bible and Qur’an. The Minister made a point that our American government is supposed to give a death penalty, or life in prison, to those who unjustly kill us. He is not lying.
18 U.S. code § 1111 clearly states: “Within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States,
Whoever is guilty of murder in the first degree shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for life; Whoever is guilty of murder in the second degree, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life.”
However, the government has not been doing their job. If the government doesn’t intercede in our affairs, that is when we take matters into our own hands. Who do you call when your own government doesn’t help you?
Also, if you automatically assume he meant white people when he said “kill those who kill us,” are you admitting that white people are in fact killing us? Just a question….
“Farrakhan is racist. The 10,000 Fearless is meant to scare white people.”
News flash: Black people cannot be racist towards white people. In order to be racist, you have to have collective, systemic power over underprivileged groups to affect their lives on a plethora of levels. White people have never and can never experience racism. All I’ve seen the 10,000 Fearless do is unite, address gang conflict resolutions, and provide community service for others. How scary. If the 10,000 Fearless is just a tactic to scare all white people, then I wonder why unity frightens you. In all of the months they have worked in our communities, the 10,000 Fearless has not harmed anyone. Please show me the white person who has been harmed ever since the beginning of this movement?
The lies against the 10,000 Fearless is to dehumanize black people in our anger of mistreatment, while simultaneously defaming Minister Farrakhan. It has the intention to label us as violent people, with a 400 year old grudge and no sense whatsoever. Anything that is seen to be even the slightest bit a threat to systemic white supremacy is labeled a threat against white people. I can assure you that no violence has ever been taken place since the call for the 10,000 Fearless.
If black people were as violent as white people portray us to be, there would be no more white people.

Lately there has been quite a bit of static in the connection between Black men and Black women. Something ugly has bubbled to the surface and just like any impurity it is time for cleansing and healing. But first I’ve got to say a little something to my brothers.
It is apparent from what Jill Scott is saying in the performance piece above that the way we state our case to women is just not good enough for the time and what must be done. The new mantra for the Black male has got to be “Excellence From This Point On.”
Energy flows where attention goes. So to focus on what happened, what she said, what some other people did, who’s working against you is only going to keep us stuck right where we are. Truth be told when we choose to be the men that we were created to be there is no war between men and women. If you walk away from that conflict then women will either stop fighting or go fight their own selves.
So now here’s my suggestion: Place yourself in an environment where you’re surrounded by black men who discuss and live life in a way that empowers Black men and in turn empowers Black women, Black children and Black families. This will cause the formation of true “Black Communities” and a place of honor and respect for Black Men.
Here are two of my favorites. Earth SonSpirit where Healing, Wholeness, Sacred Masculinity and Self Discovery are the order of the day. Nation Of Islam under the leadership and tutelage of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan where a unique view of the special relationship between the Supreme Being and Black Men all over this planet is brought to light and explored.
As it says in Psalms 82:6 “Ye are gods. All of you, Children of the Most High God.” Women are naturally inclined to be at peace and in harmony with God.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan Speaks Live in Atlanta, Ga.

HOUSTON (FinalCall.com) – October 16 marks the 14th anniversary of the historic Million Man March when nearly two million men descended upon Washington, D.C., at the call of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
In that sea of men stood then Columbia College film students Glen Towery of Los Angeles and Linus Michael of Kenya. Armed with thousands of dollars in donated equipment, both made the trek to the nation’s capitol with the goal of documenting what would be a life-changing experience for them.
“I actually did not know about the march until one of my friends called me two weeks before the gathering,†Mr. Towery told The Final Call.
The Million Man March was convened on October 16, 1995, to call Black men to atonement reconciliation and responsibility. A day of no school, no work, no play was declared.
“That friend literally told me that I was going. I was in film school so I really couldn’t afford to go but so many people supported us,†says Mr. Towery, 57.
“I felt it would have been improper for me as a film student to go there and not document that day. I had to help preserve it.â€
The fruit of his work is now being shown in cities across the country in his documentary titled Glenn & Linus Michael Attend the Million Man March. The film chronicles their experience at the march. In over an hour of footage, images of men arriving, chanting, embracing, gang members uniting, powerful speakers, and exclusive interviews are shown.
“We have to rekindle the spirit of that day. With this film I wanted to capture that spirit, package it and touch our men,†says Mr. Towery, who has won many awards the last several years including the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame award.
A large audience in Houston attended a viewing on September 12 at the Shape Community Center. Dwayne Muhammad, who attended the march, spearheaded the event out of a desire to “inspire us as men to never forget what we witnessed on that day.â€
Latif Salley, who was touched by the march to launch a Texas charter school, was moved while viewing the film. “This documentary brought back a lot of memories. It is truly remarkable,†he says.
Mr. Salley is one of the many success stories born out of the march. The march inspired men to launch businesses, helped to decrease crime, increased membership in Black organizations, mobilized millions to become registered voters and overall ignited men to take charge in their communities.
“We cannot let the spirit of that march die. We are going to show this film over and over,†says Deloyd Parker, founder of the Shape Center.
“I literally got chills just watching the trailer of this film. It is so touching and should be shown everywhere,†said Nation of Islam student minister Robert Muhammad.

For decades, data about the condition of Black men and boys in America has shown that they have faired far worse than their White counterpart in areas such as economics, education, and health.
With the recent election of the country’s first Black President-Elect, many have sided with the thought that such research is no longer needed and the conversation should cease to take place entering into the year 2009 and beyond.
The Foundation for the Mid South disagrees and wants to take action.
“The election of a Black President is a good step in the right direction but it will not change the fact that Black males are suffering in the South and can no longer be overlookedâ€, said Christopher Crothers to The Final Call.
The foundation released a report showing that Black males in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, or the Mid South, are more likely to lack quality health insurance, lose their lives in a homicide or drop out of school.
“Many people, especially Whites and the middle-class, have told us they are tired of seeing these numbers and hearing about racism. They want us to stop bringing this plight to the forefront as if everything is fine nowâ€, said Mr. Crothers, who serves as communications director.
The report, titled Black Male: Why the Mid South Cannot Afford to Ignore The Disparities Facing Its Black Men and Boys, was released early December with a focus on men and boys ages 16 to 44. The idea was born out of forums attended by the foundation that brought together others to discuss the state of Black men and boys both nationally and in the South. Also to call on leaders and philanthropic organizations to get involved with their resources.
