Saviours’ Day is an annual Nation of Islam commemoration of the birth of Master Fard Muhammad, the Great Mahdi of the Muslims and the Messiah of the Christians who appeared in North America on July 4, 1930 and declared that the 400 years of bondage Blacks served in America had ended.

In November of 2019, Sister Ebony S. Muhammad, Publisher of Hurt2Healing Magazine and Web Designer of MODIC Design, decided to step out on faith in a way she had never imagined.
Every year members of the Nation Of Islam, their families and supporters come together to raise the Annual Saviours’ Day Gift, a token of love and gratitude for the several decades of service and dedication of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. This was so that there would be no hardship in giving towards The Saviours’ Day Gift. Although Sister Ebony had donated every year, she decided to raise it by featuring talents and gifts she had never showcased before.
“I’m discovering the incredibly unique gifts that Allah (God) has deposited within me. I never imagined that this level of design and creativity was present. It’s deeply humbling. Ideas come to me, spontaneously. I could be reading or working on something else and the inspiration for a product or design comes through, and I follow it. It’s an emotional and spiritual experience that quite honestly overwhelms me. I’m just grateful, utterly grateful,” she described.
With this in mind, she decided to launch a full brand and marketing strategy that would feature at least three phases. “I wanted to feature all of these beautiful gifts, however, I knew that pacing myself and releasing each product line in phases would be a smart move. It would also create an ongoing effort with raising my Saviours’ Day Gift beyond 2020,” Sister Ebony shared. By Allah’s (God’s) grace, she not only reached the Saviours’ Day Gift goal of 2020, she exceeded it.
Even during the global pandemic, the Pestilence from Heaven as referred to by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, her efforts did not waver one bit. Sister Ebony doubled down in her creativity and remained driven, inspired and motivated to reach her goal!
“The 2021 Saviours’ Day Gift season, which began in mid 2020, was very trying. We were and still are in the midst of the Pestilence from Heaven where going out has been very limited. So I utilized this time to refine my craft, the brand and the power of social media to drive attention and support to assist my Saviours’ Day Gift donation. I was very fortunate to have supplies and materials delivered to my home. I was not going to allow not being out at the ‘Buy Black’ markets to slow me down when there are many other avenues available to showcase MONARCH. By Allah’s (God’s) Mercy, it worked out in ways I couldn’t have imagined”, she expressed.
MONARCH currently has four Phases: Phase I – Genuine Leather Goods, Phase II: Clutches & Tech Cases, Phase III: Therapeutic Candles and Phase IV: Organic Coffee Brands.
With the exception of Phase IV, all of the other Phases feature products that are handcrafted by Sister Ebony.

Back to Phase I – Genuine Leather Goods
MONARCH has evolved its leather craft to now feature wallets in various styles and sizes,including minimalist card wallets, zipper wallets and bifold wallets.
“After watching a master leather craftsman deconstruct two designer leather wallets, I was stunned to witness that only 30-50 percent was actually leather. The rest was cardboard, cheap nylon and cardstock. These wallets retailed between $340 – $1,270 and they were mostly paper! Seeing this compelled me to design a collection of 100 percent genuine leather wallets, with no fillers, for a fraction of the cost. I want to provide a quality experience with a designer appeal, all the way through”, Sister Ebony conveyed.
MONARCH’s wallets are made with vegetable tanned calfskin. This particular cut of hide has a soft, supple texture that is also durable for the constant contact and usage of a wallet. All of their wallets are made by hand by Sister Ebony, which includes but is not limited to being hand cut, saddle stitched, sanded, burnished (finished/polished), edge coated, sealed and stamped with the official logo.
“Again, this was a creative experience I had never attempted before. I didn’t know I could achieve this level of detail and focus. Constructing leather wallets, on any level, was the farthest thing from my mind. It was the experience of receiving that inspiration and following it, challenging myself or rather giving over to the unseen gifts and talents that Allah blessed me with. I wanted to see what He put in me that I was being pulled towards, and it put me in a state of awe. It’s not me, it’s what He put within me to express His Glory and to bear witness to His Power, His Love. It’s calming, euphoric and therapeutic,” she detailed.
Not only did MONARCH launch genuine leather wallets, they also launched their very own line of All Natural Leather Care to help maintain the luster, appearance and condition of the wallets. Each product in the kit, including the polishing cloth, is handcrafted by Sister Ebony. The cleaner, balm and sheen are all skin safe and only contain 3-4 ingredients. Each wallet comes with a soft case enclosed within a matte black box, a supply of their Leather Balm and polishing cloth.
“Packaging and presentation is everything to me! It’s all in the details. The short answer: I follow FARRAKHAN!
The longer answer: As a Believer and student of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad under the Divine Guidance of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, EVERYTHING that we have been taught and trained has been my saving grace! As a proud and active MGT&GCC (Muslim Girls’ Training & General Civilization Class), EVERYTHING that we are taught and trained has been my saving grace!
Let me be very clear. I have warranted concerns about this storm especially with extremely low temperatures and continuous power outages. Along with that, I am not experiencing anxiety, and there is a major difference between the two.
Several years ago The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan warned us to watch the weather. Since then, I began receiving google alerts for weather reports and I have the weather app on my phone that I check daily. The world can see that Minister Farrakhan’s warnings are not empty!
I was blessed to see this storm approaching the Wednesday before via my weather app. I went to the store for a few items on Thursday. The local news (from what I saw) didn’t report the storm until Saturday, which caused chaos and massive lines. Because of Minister Farrakhan’s instructions to watch the weather, I was blessed to get that early start and avoid crowds. We are still in a pandemic, the Pestilence from Heaven, so avoiding crowds is critical. ‘Watch the weather’ doesn’t just mean while it’s happening or after it happens. It also means before it happens. Just like in the case of Noah and the Ark. He prepared ahead of the storm and warned others ahead of the storm.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan instructed us to continue storing food and water during this time. All praise is due to Allah for his guidance!
We have been instructed to pressure can simple foods. I thank Allah for the MGT&GCC (Muslim Girls’ Training & General Civilization Class) and our brilliant Student National Captain Sister Naeemah Muhammad and her incredible staff for organizing and facilitating a formal training in pressure canning and water bath canning. Because of this class, I have been properly prepared for moments like this.
Our MGT class also inspired me to purchase certain inexpensive equipment in the case of loss of power! Yes, we lost both power and running water – most of the time at the same time. The guidance of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad in How To Eat To Live teaches us how to maintain on simple foods and what to store in our homes and the method of boiling water to distill it. All of which saved me a tremendous amount of anxiety about food and water.
When I sat in my vehicle to run the engine, I saw so many of my neighbors leave and return with food and water in some of the most dangerous weather conditions. We have been instructed by authorities to stay off of the roads because they were considered unfit to drive on.
I see the communication threads of those nearby (community app) asking where they can buy food and if restaurants were open.
During our rolling power and water outages many in the community app were experiencing so much anxiety and frustration about losing power and water. I have to bear witness and thank Allah, Who appeared in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, for The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan for our training that I could be prepared, as much as possible, patient and obedient during the outages.
I also keep a MP3 player full of messages by Minister Farrakhan and his student ministers. I listened to the comforting and powerful words of guidance during the outages. I have my books and workbooks from MGT class and publications of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad that keep my mind engaged and my spirit elevated.
When the power and water came back on, I strategize to do tasks that required power and water in anticipation of being without both during another rolling outage, which happened and still is happening.
Although I’ve always been a very neat and clean person, our class in How To Keep House and the manual of keeping a clean and safe environment from our MGT class has been a phenomenal aid, because now I am inside of a building with many more people at the same time due to no one being able to leave. So being able to maintain and even increase my clean environment is also an effort to keep the results of other people’s less than clean habits at bay.
When I need to leave my home to tend to my vehicle or take the trash out, I have to anticipate passing by more people than usual. So having a supply of face masks (now doubled) to protect myself has been lifesaving! Our How To Sew class and face mask patterns and instructional videos have been lifesaving! To have the privilege of learning all of these skills AND put them into practice ahead of needing them have been lifesaving! To Believe in all that has been given to us for these exact moments, have been lifesaving!
Most importantly, remaining prayerful and tightening up my relationship and connection with Allah (God) has been my saving grace! Striving to keep up prayer throughout the day with or without power, praying for peace, calmness, patience and perspective has been my saving grace! Accepting what I can’t control and knowing Who is in full and complete control has been my saving grace! Feeling the Presence of Allah (God), feeding on the Word of God, knowledge, training, information … I bear witness that we have not been left comfortless, we have not been forsaken, we have not been left helpless or alone! This has been my saving grace!
I also thank Allah for my immediate family. During my entire childhood through high school we took camping trips (no electricity or running water or cabins) that taught me how to enjoy being without certain comforts by having the essentials and alternatives.
We also went on ski trips every single year from my childhood through high school, and I was taught on how to maintain in weather conditions I wasn’t used to. I remember being at the top of a slope with my mother who saw I was having trouble breathing due to the altitude and saw I was becoming scared. She instructed me to not cry because it would make my inability to breath worse. She also told me that my tears would seal my eyes shut because of the extreme cold temperature. In other words, don’t panic. Stay calm or things could get much worse. Understanding how to be calm in situations like this is critical and has been lifesaving!
Along with that, I grew up in a home that kept several cases of water at a time, canned foods, an enormous supply of batteries, lanterns in every room, flashlights, matches and emergency candles. Looking back at this helped me see that being prepared for what might come was normal and necessary!
For full disclosure, my parents and sisters are from New York, so they were raised in extremely cold weather. My parents also visited the Mosque in New York while in college and had Muslim friends. So I see that they’ve been impacted by the Teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, directly and indirectly! All praise is due to Allah!
It is only by the Grace and Mercy of Allah (God) and The Teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Guidance of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan that I am as calm as I am!
According to news reports, we are still not out of the woods. A city of Houston alert just went out warning of a Hard Freeze over the next 24 hours. Along with that, temperatures aren’t set to rise until Saturday or Sunday. We are still experiencing rolling outages of both power and water. Reports also state that this Winter Storm is moving to other parts of the country.
If you are not following the Divine Guidance of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, you are literally risking your life and the life of your family and loved ones!

Less than 30 days from the Nov. 3 presidential election, tumult and upheaval continues in the United States. Approximately 48 hours after a combative and chaotic debate between Republican incumbent President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger and former vice-president Joe Biden, news broke that the commander-in-chief and his wife Melania Trump both tested positive for Covid-19.
The news disrupted global financial markets and is the latest “giant disruption” in a country reeling from a global pandemic which has shut down its economy. The U.S. is also simultaneously battling massive forest fires and other weather-related disasters, dealing with police violence igniting nationwide protests, and ongoing racial division under the watch of an unpredictable and polarizing president.
The president’s Covid-19 diagnosis came in the aftermath of the country spiraling from a contentious debate between he and Mr. Biden. “Dumpster fire,” “embarrassing,” “frightening,” “offensive” and “crazy” were just a few of the descriptions the combative 90-minute showdown held Sept. 29 in Cleveland, Ohio, invoked.
“What we saw last night was a horror show, the most disgusting underbelly of U.S. politics,” Rina Sha, political commentator and founder of Republican Women for Biden, stated during her post-debate analysis on CTV. While most of the backlash was hurled at Mr. Trump for constantly interrupting moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News and hurling personal insults at Mr. Biden and his family, the former vice-president was often on the defensive and did not emerge with a clear decisive victory either. According to an Ipsos post-debate poll, “Biden may have gained a little support, but many still think Trump has a good chance of winning.” Over 73 million people watched the debate but the real losers afterward, argued many analysts, were the American people.

CHICAGO—The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam will deliver a major message July 4 concerning the current state of affairs in America, the world, the coronavirus global pandemic and other critical subjects.
Minister Farrakhan’s message, “The Criterion,” will be delivered on Independence Day, which also marks the 90th anniversary of the existence of the Nation of Islam in America. It will be his first public address since February.
His critical guidance and divine warning are of particular importance for President Trump, international leaders and the leaders of global faith communities. The world has entered a final period of divine reckoning, and a coming famine, said Minister Farrakhan.
“The judgment is not approaching; it is present,” he warned.

“This message will not just be for Muslims; it is not just for Christians; it is not just for Jews, it is for every inhabitant of this planet,” said Minister Farrakhan.
“I say to you with deep humility from the 25th Surah of the Qur’an: ‘Blessed is He Who sent down the Discrimination upon His servant that he might be a warner to the nations,’ ” the Minister added. The 25th Surah or Chapter of the Holy Qur’an is titled, “Al-Furqan” or “The Discrimination/The Criterion,” meaning to discern or distinguish truth from falsehood.
This is not an ordinary time, Covid-19 is not an ordinary virus and we will not get out of this easily, he cautioned. The country is divided, and people are angry, the Minister noted. God Himself is upset, Minister Farrakhan said.
