Dear Believers,

We pray this letter finds you in the best of health and spirit.

It is with a heavy heart that we formally announce that the second oldest son of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan—Brother Joshua Farrakhan—returned to Allah on Saturday, November 18, 2023. May Allah be pleased.

We pray to Allah to lift the burden of sorrow from the hearts of the family and all of us who mourn his loss and give us peace.

“And no soul can die but with Allah’s permission—the term is fixed. And whoever desires the reward of this world, We give him of it, and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter, We give him of it. And We shall reward the grateful.” Holy Qur’an 3:145

The Janazah Service will be at Mosque Maryam this Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be immediately following.

Black First Ladies: Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, Michelle Obama and Winnie Mandela featured on National Women’s Magazine

There is a saying that “behind every good man, is a good woman,” however, in the case of The Honorable Minister Farrakhan, the leader of The Nation of Islam and the convener of the Million Man March, “behind every great man is a phenomenal woman.”

Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, wife of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, is featured on the cover of the current issue of Virtue Today Magazine, a inspirational new women’s magazine out of Raleigh, North Carolina, that focuses on uplifting women. Mother Farrakhan is featured along side Michelle Obama and Winnie Mandela for the cover story: Black First Ladies. Mother Farrakhan is the First Lady of The Nation of Islam.

The article shares interesting facts about Mother Farrakhan’s childhood(guess what team she was on as a teen?) as well as her work as a talented seamstress and humanitarian. She and her husband were childhood sweethearts and joined the Nation of Islam together in 1955. A beautiful family photo shows their nine wonderful children.

Also featured in this issue are the amazingly insightful articles entitled, “How to Give Birth to a God,” Act like a Lady; Dress Like a Queen, and the “Ultimate Debt Payoff” plan.

Day 3 at Saviour’s Day 2009: Mother Khadijah makes appearance, Islam’s Influence on Hip Hop and more awesome workshops!

Just when some might have thought that Friday could not be topped here at Saviours’ Day, Saturday took it to another level! So that meant the Final Call Team was on the move and workshop facilitators came strong in their respective areas.

Concurrent workshops included Being the Change, Mothers Against Violence, Closing the Gap Between Blacks and Latinos, Self-Improvement That Really Improves, One Last Chance To Make A Good Impression, some powerful youth roundtable discussions, and a College Fair!

Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, the First Lady of the Nation of Islam, posed for photos at the opening of her annual Children’s Village.The workshops were awesome and the Influence of Islam on Hip-Hop panel, the brainchild of Latonja Styles Muhammad, was packed from wall to wall.
