What you may not know, Beloved Brothers and Sisters, is that there is a remedy. Allah does not show us what the enemy is planning without giving us a way to overcome his plans. The fact that what is about to happen has not happened yet and someone among you sounds the alarm is God’s Mercy to you.

Today, I asked to speak to the Youth Leadership that is called by the enemy, “gang leader.” I don’t like the term because it doesn’t properly describe you. So I will call you “youth leaders,” but I want to tell you today why the enemy refers to you as gangs and gang leaders.

Our community, and Black youth in particular, are about to become the victims of a conspiracy emanating from the government of the United States that is designed to bring about the destruction of our youth.

I want you to listen, if you never listened to a man before in your life, please hear me today. You may ask, “Brother Farrakhan, how do you know what the Government is planning?”

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me that, whatever Allah (God) reveals, that is the Truth.

While in Phoenix, Arizona, I saw on television the tanks and the armed forces of the Peoples Republic of China rolling over young people, murdering them because they wanted a change. The news also came that the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, had passed away. As I watched these two apparently unrelated events, a shudder went over my body and I was literally gripping myself, looking at the television screen, because I knew that there was a connection between what was going on in China and what is about to take place in America, but I couldn’t put it together at that time.

After returning to Chicago, Minister Don Muhammad (Eastern Regional Representative of Minister Farrakhan, based in Boston) told me of an incident in Boston, Massachusetts, involving a group of our young brothers, who are considered “gangs,” who had shot up Roxbury, a section of Boston, with sophisticated weapons, and the police were at their wits end as to what to do. The brothers in the gangs felt that the only person whom they could turn to was Minister Don, and they recognized that the only persons who could solve their problems were the Muslims. The “gang leaders,” as they are called, said to Brother Don, “If you can bring us a message from Brother Farrakhan, if he wants us to stop, we won’t shoot each other. But we would like to hear from him.” I told Brother Don, “I will go immediately and make a broadcast to them.”

As I began to dictate to Sister Ava Muhammad (the Administrative Assistant to Minister Farrakhan) what I would say, I immediately began to feel relief, because now it was clear to me what God wanted me to say to all of you, and through you, to young Black people all over America.I say it again, the Government of the United States of America is planning an assault on the Black community, specifically aimed at our youth. And the conspiracy is so deep and so diabolical that many of you will not even believe that at this very moment that I am talking to you, your lives hang in the balance, whether you are living in Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, or any city in America. Black youth, particularly Black young men, are at risk today, and unknowingly, Brothers, you are playing into the hands of your enemy, and he is using you to set up your destruction and using the fear and the pain of your mothers to call for your destruction.

“Could this be possible? Farrakhan, are you making this up?” Even though consciously you may not wish to agree with me, in your subconscious mind, you know something deeply wicked and diabolical is going on. Now let me, by God’s Grace, point it out to you.

When the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me that Nature didn’t put good in the enemy, I had to study that carefully. Then he said, “The time of the rule of the wicked is up and a new day is dawning on the Black man.” As it was in the Beginning, now so shall it be in the Ending; that you and your fathers ruled in the Beginning, now God is calling you to come back to your original position. If now is the Time of the fall of one world and the rise of another, then the wicked have an agenda. The thing that they must do to stay in power is to keep you ignorant to the knowledge of yourself, the knowledge of the Time and the knowledge of what must be done.

Do you see what I am saying? The wicked may smile to keep you thinking that they have changed, so you don’t want to do what God wants you to do, which is build a Nation of righteousness. You want to stay with your enemy thinking he has changed and will open up a way for you.

I am telling you that right now, as we speak, your death is planned and is in motion. I am going to prove what I say.

How are we going to get an indication of what is in the mind of President Bush? How are we going to get an indication of what secret plans are going on in the basement of the White House under the name “National Security?” Where shall we look to find out what the government is thinking with respect to you, Black young man? Where would you look? We don’t have anybody in the White House to tell us. And when they plan these wicked plans, there is no Black brother or sister involved. This is a very small group. Where would we find the answer to their plans?

You have it at home on your shelf. It is called Bible. It is called Qur’an. Both of these books give you an indication of what is in the mind of the present- day rulers.

The Bible gives us the mind of ancient rulers. For what? So we can talk about how they thought? No. God is showing us how ancient rulers thought to give you a picture of what is being thought today in the present rulers of the world.

You don’t live in Africa; you don’t live in China. You live in a house that brought your fathers into slavery; a house that never permitted us to receive either justice or equity.

What are they planning?
