The Divine Grind
THE DIVINE GRIND: The impact of Farrakhan on people around the world is immeasurable.
THE DIVINE GRIND: After a very hectic yet enthusiastic week of grinding in Miami/Fort Lauderdale for the #JusticeorElse Tour, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan was still full of the same fire he had when the week first started. I captured this shot as he was preparing to board his departing flight back home. I initially heard this sister saying behind me “Oh My God it’s him. I got to take a picture. I got to get a picture.” Paying little attention to security surrounding him, she was so eager to meet The Minister that she tried to squeeze by to touch him but was graciously intercepted. (Smile) Then once security introduced her to The Minister and he beamed that beautiful smile, she started getting teary-eyed and expressing her joy over having this moment. “Oh my God I am trying to hold back my tears..I can’t believe this is happening…” After taking the picture she said “I am about to cry.” And The Minister said with a smile “Please don’t.” After taking the picture I saw her walk back over to her seat and pump her fist to her sides as if she had just won a medal at the Olympics and then she said “It really happened…” The impact of Farrakhan on people around the world is immeasurable. What a beautiful ending to an unforgettable week. What a blessing to be a witness bearer. I have much more to share.

THE DIVINE GRIND: He’s hungry to stay divinely grinding. He can’t help himself…
THE DIVINE GRIND: It’s one thing for those of us who follow him to say “The Minister works night and day for us….” but it’s an entirely different effect to actually WITNESS it. I was blessed to be invited to dinner last night by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, along with others and it was nearly 11PM. This is because right after his powerful address with Haitian leaders, he went to ANOTHER private meeting last night. So this was actually his first time getting a chance to eat a full meal. He also did two radio interviews that day along with countless other tasks. You would think at the dinner he would be worn out, but he was just as vibrant as when he started the day that morning. He was teaching about scripture, repeating some of his strong points, laughing, listening to feedback from the day’s events and going over some of what Allah guided him to say in the two radio interviews. He talked at the table about how he gets a greater burst of energy AFTER he puts in work… And it wasn’t until around 1AM did he finally decide to go and get some sleep. He had to be encouraged by staff to get some rest. Why? This man is so in love with what he does, so driven, so fueled, that we probably would have been at that dinner table another hour. That’s how much he’s hungry to stay divinely grinding. He can’t help himself… “What manner of man is this?” is not a cliché, it’s real. That is talking about Farrakhan. I bear witness… I have more to share.

THE DIVINE GRIND: I captured this shot on Tuesday after The Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan addressed Latino/Native American leaders. The Minister was departing but as always, stopped to engage this Native youth. He was telling the young boy how important he is, how bright his future is, and how he is to be one of those to lead his people. This is genuine love.. I noticed the Minister got REAL passionate and was gently tapping the boy on his chest near his heart as he spoke. Anyone standing there could see this was impacting the little god and he was captivated by The Minister. A priceless moment… I woke up this morning reflecting on The Minister’s astronomical work ethic that is driven by love coupled with an indomitable spirit and hunger to do God’s Will. It’s contagious. Tuesday’s schedule was the first full day of the #JusticeorElse Tour stop here in Miami. His day started early in the morning. He did 3 separate speaking engagements to clergy, Latino/Native American, and Hip-Hop industry giants. He only had about an hr or less in between each one. And he was NOT taking a nap during that ‘break’ time, he was still meeting with staff and guests, guiding, teaching, delegating, reviewing emails, etc. The day ended with dinner, more teaching and he finally went to sleep just before midnight…. More updates forthcoming.
