Covered Girl Twitter Chat Defends Farrakhan Against Recent Attacks

Amid recent attacks thrown at the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and lies spewed by mainstream media, women of the Nation of Islam took to Twitter once again to defend the name of Farrakhan.

Topics included comments made by Alyssa Milano, Debra Messing and a statement made by the Women’s March, all regarding the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

Alyssa Milano, an actress and activist, is refusing to speak at upcoming Women’s March events unless Tamika Mallory and Linda Sarsour, both activists and organizers of the Women’s March, denounce Minister Farrakhan for what they consider to be anti-Semitic remarks.

In the past, Mallory has had to defend her decision to work with the Minister and to attend events such as Saviours’ Day earlier this year and Justice Or Else! in 2015. Milano was among those who called Mallory out for “turning a blind eye to the hate spoken about a group of people.” Others called for her resignation, according to Atlanta Black Star.

“Will and Grace” star Debra Messing called out the Women’s March for not denouncing Minister Farrakhan. On top of that, she supported Milano’s decision to distance herself from the march.

What do Nation of Islam women have to say about that?

“Tonight we stand to defend the Honorable Minister @LouisFarrakhan against blatant lies that have circulated. Tonight those lies will be dismantled,” was the initial tweet by Ebony Muhammad, moderator of the chat.

Participants were asked to explain why claims of Minister Farrakhan being an anti-Semite, a bigot, a hater of the LGBTQ community and a man who’s against women, are untrue.

The sisters began firing off immediately.

A1: The issue with The Minister is he CAN'T be run off. He will not bow, because the power that backs him is greater than ANY power that attempts to come against him this is why they must lie they find weak ones who need their favor or those who rely on the wicked for sustenance.

Many women said Minister Farrakhan can’t be classified as a bigot because of all of the friendships he has with people from various backgrounds. Not only that, but he lives by the principle of seeking knowledge.

A popular lie going around about Minister Farrakhan is that he hates the LGBTQ community. The women participating in the chat debunked the claim.

I remember the minister saying that some of the brightest among us come from our LGBTQ+ Family (he calls them family). And that we can’t go anywhere without them. So…. I don’t know where they get this lie from. #CoveredGirl #Farrakhan

The women also rejected the idea that denouncing Minister Farrakhan would take away from his work, and they directly challenged Alyssa Milano and Debra Messing on their motives and their seemingly hypocritical stance.

The Testimony of Torino Fashion Week (Part 3): The Overwhelming Love We Received In Italy

On Day 2 we attended the fashion segments to show love and support for the other designers participating in Torino Fashion Week.

This was also when the Torino Fashion Week photographer took the photo that went viral of the MGT-GCC recording the fashion show!

While we were backstage, one of the Torino Fashion Week photographers were so in awe of Sisters Hassanah and Harmoni that she offered an impromptu photo shoot!

After attending the first set of showcases, we walked down the cobble stoned street to an area filled with cafe`s and boutiques. We enjoyed sister table talks, coffee, tea and cheesecake. I had a nice warm slice of quiche that I enjoyed so much I forgot to take a photo of it :-D.

Everything you see is chocolate!

We were approached by so many people who wanted to know who we were and the meaning behind our style of dress. They were incredibly curious and intrigued by us, and since we were all dressed in the rose pink garments, we were hard to miss.

When they asked who we were, we replied, “The Nation Of Islam”, “Farrakhan” and “MGT-GCC”. We receive so much love, it was overwhelming and humbling. One after the other, families and individuals came to hug us and speak to us. This was happening every single day we were in Torino, especially when we were in our garments and headpieces. There was no denying that Master Fard Muhammad, The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan have made friends for us all over the world! All praise is due to Allah!

One Italian woman riding her bike circled back to speak to us. When we said the name, “Farrakhan”, she smiled, nodded her head and said, “Yes, yes”! This was certainly a highlight of the week!

The Testimony of Extraordinary Women

Of the many great honors I’ve been blessed to experience in the Nation Of Islam, one in particular stands out tremendously to me. A couple years ago, I had the great privilege of hearing the testimonies of extraordinary women in the Nation of Islam (whom I greatly admire), which revolved around the life and unique sacrifices of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Sisters Fatimah Farrakhan (Registered Nurse and daughter of Min. Farrakhan), A’ishah Muhammad (Student National M.G.T. Captain Emeritus and Student National Auditing Coordinator), Mary Alice Muhammad (Lead Chef for Min. Farrakhan) and Ava Muhammad (Attorney and Student National Spokesperson for Min. Farrakhan) were asked to approach the “witness stand”.

To be extraordinary is to exceed the common degree, to be remarkable and wonderful (Webster’s Dictionary). This does not mean that they are superior in importance, but that they have walked with the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan to the degree of witnessing his intense love, humility, suffering, sacrifice and dedication and can bear witness to the profound affect his life has had on theirs.

This special gathering was conceived by and organized by three Black men who are members of the Nation Of Islam and the F.O.I. (Fruit Of Islam); Brothers Jesse Muhammad (social media strategist for Min. Farrakhan), Rashad Muhammad (a former member of Min. Farrakhan’s security team) and Willie Muhammad (Student Minister and event moderator).

The event opened with prayer and words from Brother Willie Muhammad explaining the purpose for as well as the uniqueness of these testimonies. “This is more than a panel discussion, because of who is the subject revolving around these testimonies”, he stated. The who he is referring to is the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan!

Brother Rashad Muhammad followed by recognizing the presence of Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, wife of the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan. “When we talk about the Extraordinary Women we cannot go without talking about the Extraordinary one, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan”, he said. “What he (Farrakhan) is offering us is God’s love. Our testament is whether or not we can love one another”, he continued. He closed with the following words, “When we truly understand what God has given us in the Hon. Louis Farrakhan we would understand the Reality of God. I bring these women up before you so that you may examine their hearts; we judge not but learn to be patient.”

It was at that moment that Brother Willie Muhammad, the event moderator, introduced each panelist and proceeded to go right into the set of questions that were emailed by the general public as well as members of the Nation Of Islam.

One question that was posed was regarding why many people cry in the presence of the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan. Here are the responses of the panelists:

“When you see a man who walks the walk and talks the talk, it raises the bar so high…God raises him up. You’re just in awe of what you’re witnessing”. – Fatimah Farrakhan.

“When I’m in his presence I am reduced to a child. It touches your heart, because of his love and mercy.” – A’ishah Muhammad

“The Minister has a healing power…I’ve witnessed it. When I first met Min. Farrakhan I was on chemotherapy. He spoke of healing and Allah (God) giving us the power to self heal. I know that in my heart and soul this (Farrakhan) is the beloved of God and His Christ.” – Ava Muhammad

“I know that there is a certain magnetic field around him. When people cry, that’s what they feel. Although he is a man like anyone else, there is something special about him. For those who cry, they are feeling the Presence of Allah.” – Mary Alice Muhammad

A particular question was posed to Sis. Fatimah Farrakhan regarding how seeing her father medically has tested her faith. Here is her response:

“You see a man in the grips of death like that and his words are ‘Whatever Your Will is Allah!’ He is so unselfish. He is in constant prayer and reflection with God! It makes me think Wow..I get choked up..he’s something else.”

There was a question posed to Sis. Ava Muhammad to share her experience watching Minister Farrakhan stand up for Truth. Here is her response:

“He possesses every characteristic of the Sun. He is in ultimate teaching mode. I have NEVER seen him in any other way; gracious, elegant. I have never known a more proficient lawyer than Minister Farrakhan. The difference between him and others is his heart. When he is listening to others, he is truly processing what they are saying. There is no way that this man is not guided by God! The enemy cannot calculate how to defeat him!”

A question was submitted for Sis. A’ishah Muhammad relating to the use of Dianetics. Here is her response to the critics and for those who misunderstand:

“We hear ‘Dianetics’ and think that it’s different from the Teachings of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad, but it’s not. He has not deviated, he has excelled! He is adhering 1000%!”

The following question was submitted to Sis. Mary Alice regarding how Min. Farrakhan handles his dinner guests. Here is her response:

“I’ve seen people come to his table who have vilified him, but when they come to his table they’re treated like royalty. You have a genuine brother in this man (Min. Farrakhan). Ask Allah for patience and you will see why he does what he does. I ask myself all of the time, ‘Who does this?’ All I can say is what a friend we have in Jesus!”

A very interesting question was posed to the entire panel regarding why the Nation Of Islam compares Minister Farrakhan to Jesus Christ. Here are their responses:

“I don’t compare him to the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He IS my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!” – Ava Muhammad

“We’re at a crossroad, we have to make a decision: What Side Do You Want to Be On? Please let this be the beginning of a new dawn and love one another as he loves us.” – Mary Alice Muhammad

“There are many that he (Min. Louis Farrakhan) has taken care of that we don’t know about! He gives life to the dead!” — A’ishah Muhammad

“When you think of God you think of love and His mercy. Minister Farrakhan has been the extreme example of love and mercy. I don’t get into titles…let’s just be found doing the work. Minister Farrakhan is an extraordinary man”. – Fatimah Farrakhan

The entire event was electrifying, inspiring and a profound voice of clarity for those who were either confused about the character of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan or just confirmation for what they themselves have experienced to a lesser degree.

There were moments of thunderous applauses, tears, laughter and firmness as it relates to the reality of Minister Farrakhan given through these testimonies. For those who were unfamiliar with Minister Farrakhan, they were given a very clear understanding that was unmistakable. For anyone unfamiliar or confused about his Teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, they were given insight to him as well. For those who had never heard of the name Master Fard Muhammad, these extraordinary women gave testimony to Him! For, without these Extraordinary Men, the testimonies of these Extraordinary women and many others could not exist.

Closing remarks were given by Sister Donna Farrakhan, Student Minister and daughter of the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan. She shared her appreciation and how inspired she was by this event. She recognized each family member of the panelists as well as the sacrifice of her own mother, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan. Sis. Donna closed with the following words, “If you submit your will to do the Will of Allah, He will begin to unwrap your gift. This is a beautiful beginning of something! Be sure to tell everyone who wasn’t able to make this event NOT to miss the next one!”

Brother Ishmael Muhammad, Student National Assistant to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, also gave closing words. “Today it’s so important that we can give a testimony of not only what Islam has done but of what the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan has done”, he said. “Every one of you, and the women on this panel, Allah Himself, prepared helpers for His servant to do His (God’s) work”, he continued. He closed with these words, ” You are predestined with Christ. You have to know that the one raised among us is an example of the life God has for us! There is something in this day…It was the women around the Prophet, Muhammad and Jesus. The Women were there to console and prepare him (Jesus) to ascend to the Father and who were there upon his return. It was the women around Prophet Muhammad; their testimonies are most cherished. Every word you shared today was food for my soul and you nurtured and strengthened my faith. Let us step up–not in words–but in DEEDS…He (Minister Farrakhan) has literally laid down his life for us all”.

Brother Jesse Muhammad was asked to give a brief report of the response from social media. “I’ve been getting texts and tweets from people crying and wishing they were in these seats. The demand right now are for the DVDs to be immediately available”, he said.

I thank Allah, Who Appeared in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, for the blessing and honor to be present to witness these beautiful women offer their life experiences and interaction with the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan, who is so misunderstood, to offer an illuminating light of understanding.

I would like to thank each of these women for being courageous enough to open up to the questions and share candidly. I would like to thank the organizers for their vision, love and diligence in making this event a reality for all to witness. I would like to thank the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan for approving the event and inviting all to approach the witness stand! Allah U Akbar (God Is The Greatest)!

This event is a moment in my life that I will never forget!

Since the inception of the Nation of Islam in the West, the class of women who are called Muslim Girls’ Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T. and G.C.C.), have always been known for their way of covering. The garment, designed by Master Fard Muhammad and implemented by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad for the women in Islam, is not only a fashion statement unmatched by any other woman in or outside religion, but is a direct declaration of war against the negative ideals of Western and European styles of so-called fashion.

From the quality of fabric, stitching, cut, and the obvious modest covering, the women in the Nation of Islam have established their throne of fashion that even women in Christianity marvel at. The magnificent creativity that comes from within the mind of the M.G.T. and G.C.C. can only be described as heavenly, awe-inspiring, regal and of God, Himself.

The call of the 10, 000 Fearless Women Backing the 10,000 Fearless Men in Islam has been given and on that night approximately 10 Islamic fashion designers will open the gates of righteous coverings for the entire world to witness. This evening, the world will behold the truth of cutting-edge fashion, trends that are timeless in essence, and women who are in love with covering themselves beautifully.

The Islamic fashion weekend will cause other so-called fashion weeks to pale in comparison. If one was ever asked to imagine the face and presence of God in the feminine, it would be perfectly captured in this dispensation of time, in the finest of wardrobes.

Organized by Sister Carmin Muhammad, owner of Al-Nisa Designs in Chicago, Illinois and featuring various Islamic designers from all over the country, the city of Atlanta, will be transformed into a Holy City, a Mecca of righteous threads.

During an exclusive interview in Hurt2Healing Magazine, published by Ebony Safiyyah Muhammad, the question was posed to Sister Carmin of what thoughts crossed her mind that inspired her to organize the first Islamic Fashion Weekend. She responded, “This is something that has to happen. I’ve got to do something where I bring together Muslim women designers and have our own fashion week. We premier to the world who WE are through the clothing line.”

This Islamic fashion weekend and show will be a statement of divine unity among women in Islam. Woven within the display of modest fashion will be musical performances by hip hop artist and songstress, Akilah Nehanda Muhammad of Houston, Texas. There will be special segments dedicated to Mother Tynnetta Muhammad and Prince. It was confirmed that the First Lady of the Nation Of Islam, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, will showcase her fashion line, Newell Apparel.

This will be a weekend that is sure to go down in history, that will set a new standard in the fashion industry on a universal level. The tide of a New Civilization and a New Woman is upon us!

Thousands of women hear powerful message from Min. Farrakhan on their value, their gifts and the vital role in the survival of Black America

CHICAGO (FinalCall.com)Â -Â Mounting the rostrum at Mosque Maryam at the Nation of Islamâ€™s headquarters, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, with a beaming smile, stood before a packed audience of women, teens and girls, and delivered an insightful and impactful message with the gentle protectiveness and loving firmness of a father, big brother and protector. He spoke on the value and importance of the woman as a co-creator with God who must be respected and protected in the face of injustices and abuses they face globally.

The Muslim leader explained the meaning and purpose of the all womenâ€™s class established in the Nation of Islam called the Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T and G.C.C.) and the value of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in rebuilding, educating and elevating in particular, the Black woman during the â€œSave Our Girls: A Nation Can Rise No Higher Than Its Womanâ€ program April 18 which was broadcast via internet webcast in Nation of Islam mosques and study groups in the U.S., Caribbean, Europe and other countries.

Mosque Maryam was packed and overflow crowds viewed the program next door in the gymnasium at Muhammad University of Islam.

The M.G.T. class meets every Saturday and is for registered women and girls of the Nation of Islam, but was opened up for this historic and unique program for all women and girls.Â

Min. Farrakhan thanked Sandy Muhammad, National M.G.T. Student Captain of the Nation of Islam, who coordinates and oversees the womenâ€™s class and all of the Chicago presenters who demonstrated on the world stage, the gifts, skills and talents the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad cultivates within Nation of Islam women through the study and practical application of specifically designed Training Units. The teachings promote spiritual and moral development, intellectual pursuits, proper home and family life, self-love and skills such as sewing, cooking, entrepreneurship,Â and self-defense.

The powerful program at Mosque Maryam showcased each of the units with women teaching about the value and place of women, spiritual values, moral virtues and other important subjects alongside a fashion show, with clothing designed by and created by Muslim women, a military drill exhibition and a martial arts exhibition.
