THE DIVINE GRIND: This morning I was reflecting on being blessed to be at dinner with The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on multiple occasions during the on-going #JusticeOrElse. I was at the table in Atlanta when Birdman was there. This was the same day The Minister had addressed hip-hop giants at Tree Sound studios. One of the things in particular I was reminded of was when we were sharing with The Minister the response of the artists and youth online to him in particular the interaction between him and Young Thug. And Birdman said to The Minister, “This is what we need. We need that. We ALL Admire and Look Up to You more than you know. You’d be surprised.” One thing I noticed in The Minister’s reaction to those words was he sat back in his chair and looked down with an expression of humility by what Birdman had just said. He didn’t become arrogant at all about. He instead started talking about the greatness of Birdman and all of the artists he had met and addressed. He lifted them up more. See, that’s the Farrakhan Way. That’s The Divine Grind.
