Word count: Between 500 and 900 words. Please stay under 900 words.
Categories: All content submitted must be related to the current BJ Blog categories: Motivation, Activism, Youth, Spirituality, Perspective and Read-A-Holics. Feel free to browse the blog to gain a better idea of what we are looking for. We absolutely do NOT condone racial slurs, misogynistic or sexually explicit writings. Such articles will NOT be published.
Original Content: We ask that posts submitted be unique and original to Brother Jesse Blog.
Bio: Since we do not compensate contributors for posts, we’re more than happy to include a brief bio containing links to your website and social media accounts. Please keep your bio to 3 sentences.
Citations: If you mention a statistic or a study in your submission, please include a link to that source.
We Enjoy Featuring New Contributors: While we cover an insane amount of ground, Brother Jesse Blog consists of a small board of staff members. As such, we may not have the opportunity to respond to all submissions. We can assure you, however, that we carefully read every single submission that we receive. If your post has been accepted, we will publish it within 7-10 days. If your post has not run within 14 days of submission, we have passed.
Photos: All contributors are encouraged to submit photos with their posts. These should be at least 850 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall (bigger in either direction, or both, is fine). High resolution only please.
Agreement: By submitting to Brother Jesse Blog, you acknowledge and accept any form of editing that may occur on behalf of our editorial team.
